ments 18 in the desired position relatively
to the face of the wheel to be ground.
The grinding elements may be made of
iron, carborundum, stone, emery, brick or
5 any suitable material and are interchange-
able, having their working faces longitudi-
nally concaved to fit wheels of varying di-
ameters.
From the foregoing description taken in
10 connection with the accompanying draw-
ings, the construction and operation of the
invention will be readily understood without
requiring a more extended explanation.
Various changes in the form, proportion
15 and the minor details of construction may be
resorted to without departing from the prin-
ciple or sacrificing any of the advantages of
the invention, as claimed.
I claim as my invention:
20 1. A band saw mnill grinding attachment
comprising a supporting base, a rectangular
frame mounted for lateral adjustment on
said base, a frame mounted to slide longitu-
dinally on said rectangular frame and hay-
25 ing a depended screw threaded apertured
lug, a screw threaded revoluble rod mount-.
ed in said rectangular frame and engaged
with said apertured lug to.move said sliding
frame longitudinally, a threaded rod mou nt-
30 ed on said sliding frame and extending
across said first mentioned rod .in a plane
above it, a frame mounted on said last men-
tioned rod and adjustable transversely rela-
tive to said rectangular frame, a frame
5 mounted to tilt longitudinally on said trans-
versely adjustable frame, a grinding ele-
ment secured. to said tilting frame, said
grinding element removably secured. to saidtilting frame, and means. for holding said
tilting frame in djustable position.
2. A band s 9v mill grinding attachment 40
comprising a supporting base having up-
wardly projecting apertured ears, a rectan-
gular ' frame having laterally extending
apertured lugs, bolts in said lugs for secur-
ing said frame to said base, set screws mount-
ed on said apertured ears for engagement
with said lugs aeedjust said frame laterally
relatively to said base, a frame mounted to
slide longitudinally' on said rectangular ao
frame, and having a depending screw thread-
ed apertured lug serewithreaded revoluble
rod mounted longitudinally, in said rectan-
gular frame.and .engaged with the apertured
lug in said sliding frame and operable to 5
move said frame 'longitudinally, a screw
threaded rod mounted on said sliding frame
a.nd extending across said first-mentioned
rod in a plane above it, a frame mounted.on
said last-mentioned rod of said sliding frame so
and adjustable transversely relative to said
rectangular frame of said rod and moving
in a plane at right angles to the plane of
movement of said sliding frame, a frame
mounted to tilt longitudinally on said trans- Eb
versely adjustable frame, a grinding element
secured to said tilting frame, and means for
holding said tilting frame in adjusted posi-
tion.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set zo
my hand in presence of two subscribing wit-
nesses.
