sprocket-pins mounted on one of the rolls in

plates or lugs, whereby the endless carrier

7. A device of the class described, compris-
1o ing a casing, a reciprocating match-support
provided with a series of steps or ledges
adapted to receive the matches, and a top
plate provided with depending fingers located
above the steps or ledges and arranged to en-
15 gage the matches and cause the same to move
downward over the steps or ledges as the sup-
port is reciprocated, substantially as de-
scribed.
8. A device of the class described, compris-
20 ing a casing, a reciprocating bottom plate or
support provided with a series of angular
bends forming steps or ledges, and a top
plate provided with depending fingers ar-ranged in pairs, located at opposite sides of
the top plate and arranged to engage the 25
matches and hold them straight on the bot-
torn plate or support, substantially as de-
scribed.
9. In a device of the class described, the
combination of a casing having grooves, a 30
bottom supporting-plate adapted to be recip-
rocated, a top plate having depending fingers
and provided at its outer end with lugs en-
gaging the said grooves, and means for sup-
porting the inner end of the top plate, where- 35
by when the lugs are disengaged from the
grooves the top plate is adapted to be swung
upward, substantially as described.
