openings, a turning plug provided with a noz-
30 zle and having oppositely - disposed ports
adapted to register with said passages, a cock
for regulating the supply of liquid to the plug,
registering mechanism operable by the plug,
an indicator secured to the vessel, and a cock
35 for regulating the discharge of liquid from the
nozzle.
7. The combination with a receptacle, of a
measuring vessel, a valved connection between
the vessel and the receptacle, said vessel be-3
ing provided with supply and discharge pas- 40
sages, a turning plug provided with a dis-
charge-nozzle and having oppositely-disposed
ports adapted to register with said passages,
an air-vent, registering mechanism operable
by the plug, and an independent controlling- 45
valve arranged within the nozzle for regulat-
ing the discharge of liquid from the vessel.
8. The combination with a receptacle, of a
measuring vessel, a tube connecting the vessel
with the receptacle and provided at its upper 50
end with slots or openings, said vessel having
supply and discharge openings, a turning plug
provided with a terminal discharge-nozzle and
having oppositely-disposed ports adapted to
register with said passages, registering mecl- 55
anism operable by the plug, and an independ-
ent controlling-valve arranged within the noz-
zle for regulating the discharge of liquid from
the vessel.
9. The combination with a receptacle, of a 6o
measuring vessel having a pocket or compart-
ment in the front wall thereof and provided
with supply and discharge passages, a turn-
ing plug having ports arranged at right angles
to each other adapted to register with said pas- 65
sages, said plug being provided with a terminal
nozzle and having a worm formed thereon, a
toothed registering-disk revolubly mounted
within the compartment and adapted to en-
gage the worm, and a cock for regulating the 70
discharge of liquid from the nozzle.
