Having thus described my invention, what
I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters
1o Patent, is-
1. In a window-sash, the com bination with
an inner and an outer section hinged and
otherwise connected together, of panes or
panels of glass or other material inserted and
15 held between said sections, a water-deflect-
ing strip arranged at the lower edge of each
pane or panel, and a packing-strip arranged
around the edges of said panes or panels
between said sections, substantially as de-
20 scribed.
2. In a window-sash composed of wood or
metal, the combination with an inner and an
outer section having inwardly-turned flanged
edges, hinged together along one edge and
adapted to close one within the other, of 25
panes or panels of glass or other material in-
serted and held between said closed sections,
a water-deflecting strip arranged at the lower
edge of each pane or panel, and a packing-
strip arranged around the edges of said panes 30
or panels between said sections, substantially
as described.
