There are twenty-five men and
women conducting B. Y. P. U. meet-
ings in our Baptist Churches in Tex
as this summer. Thirteen of these
workers are working without salary.
These workers are conducting B. Y.
P. U. institutes, Training Schools and
Conferences in twenty-nine of our
District Associations. Each worker
is spending six days with a church,
beginning the meeting on Sunday
morning at eleven o'clock and closing
the same on Friday night. The work
they are doing is greatly aiding our
denominational schools, hospitals, mis-
sions, Orphans home and our whole
co-operative program.
The B. Y. P. U.'s are enlarged and
strengthened, all other church organ-
ization rnagnified and soul winning
campaign promoted.
Jack Perryman, President of Senior
B. Y. P. U., Union, Central Baptist
Church, Jacksonville, Texas, has been
with us. Glad to have you Jack.
After the service stop and get a
cold and refreshing drink at the B.
Y. P. U. Store.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard W. Smith and
grandson, Howard Motley, of Timp-
son, are domicited in "Rest Awhile"*—

Mr, and Mrs. R. Jarvis and daugh-

son, Ward Jarvis, Jr., of Terrell, are
attending the Encampment and are
with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Smith.
Dr. L. W. Littlejohn, President of
San Marcos Baptist Academy, his
wife and fine daughter, Daphne Leah,
is in attendance at Encampment. Mrs.
Tom Burns, mother of Mrs. Littlejohn
is with them.
PERSEVERANCE PERSONIFIED
R. T. Mahaney from Midlothian,
Texas, is here, came via rail to Gal-
veston last Friday, walked part of the
way, caught rides with others, de-
manded a job on arrival, Manager
Bullock said. "Abraham Lincoln, God
bless you, come in, you are one of
those boys out of a million." He is
working his way through this Con-
vention. This is just another exam
pie of Faith.—Ed.
BAPTIST MINISTER IS
IN HOSPITAL HERE
Rev. R. T. Hanks, well-known Bap-
tist minister of Normangee, and Jew-
ett, while enroute to Palacios Sunday,
was stricken with a serious ailment
in one foot and is now undergoing
treatment at the Baptist Hospital.
Rev. and Mrs. Hanks were going to
the Baptist Young People's Encamp-
ment at Palacios and stopped off for
a day with their niece, Mrs. Harriet
Washington. False circulation in one
foot developed the next morning, and
Rev. Mr. Hanks suffered much pain.
—Houston Chronicle.
"Wait Upon the Lord" is the title
of the new chorus written by Prof.
I. E. Reynolds and dedicated to the
Texas B. Y. P. U. It has proven to
be a real "hit" and everyone all over
the encampment grounds are singing
"Ikey's' ' latest composition. The
words of this chorus are as follows:—
"Wait upon the Lord, wait upon the
Lord, wait upon the Lord,
They that wait upon the Lord shall
renew their strength
Wait upon the Lord, wait upon the
Lord, wait upon the Lord,
They that wait upon the Lord shall
renew their strength."
