the proud parents of a son born
November 24 at 12:45 a.m. at the
Highland Hospital in Lubbock.
He has been named JacKy Doylt
and he weighed 7 pounds and 6
ounces. The baby is doing fine
and the mother is doing better
after having to return to the hos-
pital for a few days but she is
back home now. We wish her a
speedy recovery.

Mex., and Mr. and Mrs. Forrest
Griffin and Sherri from Crosby-
ton visited Mr. and Mrs. Elbert

Fifth and Sixth grades. Tommy
McDowell was elected president
of the Elementary School stu-
dent body and class presidents
serve as council.

sident; and Stevie Davis, secre-
tary-treasurer; Mrs. Wayne Griz-
zle's room, Shelley Havens, pre-

tary - treasurer; Mrs. Ora Ray-
mond's room, Lee Krai, presi-
dent, Ken Verett, vice-president,

Robert Work, Mrs. Grady Evans
and Mrs. E. H. Flournoy.
Guests were Mrs. Pearl Camp-
bell and Mrs. Benard Parker.

River HD Club
The White River Home Dem-
onstration Club met at the home
of Mrs. Alfred Briggs Friday af-
ternoon. Mrs. Elbert Humble
called the meeting to order and
Mrs. Briggs gave the opening ex-
ercise. The roll call was answer-
ed with a superstition.
After the business was taken
care of several games were play-
ed. Mrs. Buran Jones won the
game prize.
Rrefreshments were served to
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Havens and
Vicki visited Mr. and Mrs. Ralph
Parsons, Barbara and David
Thursday night.
