Professor McEnany Appointed Dean
Professor Michael v. McEn-
any, 5416 Holly, has been ap-
pointed Dean of Undergraduate
Affairs at Kice University, Pres-
ident Kenneth S. Pitzer has an-
nounced.
In the new position Dean Mc-
Enany will be responsible for
the coordination of undergradu-
ate admissions, scholarships, fi-
nancial aid, academic advising,
curricular administration, and
the registrar’s functions. He will
advise tbe president and the
Committee on Undergraduate
Curriculm on problems requiring
policy changes, President Pitzer
pointed out.
Dean McEnany will make ar-
rangements for the administra-
tion of the large program for
undergraduate scholarships

when he began teaching Elec-
trical Engineering. In 1954 he
was named Registrar and took
on these duties in addition to
teaching. He will continue to
hold his Professorship cf Elec-
trical Engineering in his new po-
sition.
He is a member of the Amer-
ican Society for Engineering
Education; The Society of Sig-
ma Xi, an honorary society rec-
ognizing outstanding contribu-
tions to scientific research; Sig-
ma Tau; the American Associa-
tion of Collegiate Registrars and
the Texas Association of Cdleg-
New Explorer

The organization of a new
Explorer Post has been com-
pleted in Houston, according to
Karl J. Schreiner, southwest
scout district executive. The new
unit, designated 321, has for it?
sponsoring institution the Geth-
semane Methodist Church. 6856
Bellaire Blvd. The unit meets
on Tuesdays at the church at
7 p.m.
Hugh M, McLeod. 6325 Mobud,
has been named institutional
representative. Benjamin G.
