meets Friday at 10 a m., in the

Year was an Open House given
by Trula Everett, on New Years
Day.

Nancy Kaiser, Richard Wein-
berg, Denny Karjala, Linda Rob
inson, Anna Kay Moses, and Dan
Sutherland for making the finals
in the National Merit Scholar-
ship Program. Lots of luck to
each of you when you take the
appitude test at Rice Institute
on January 12.

High Enrollment
Bellaire High is “calling in
reinforcements” to meet an in-
crease in population at the open-
ing of the new tore.
Five temporary buildings are
presently going up on the campus
and nine new instructors will be
on hand when the gong sounds
for the second round of the
school yegr on Jan. 28.
Principal HarlarvAndrews says
he expects an increase in cn
rollment of about 200 despite the
fact that 30 seniorn will graduate
at mid-term. .
/“When our new term begins,
we’ll get 114 ninth graders from
Pershings, about 75 tenth grad-
ers, **nd some 40 to 50 students
transfering from other parts of
the district and from out of the
city,” Mr. Andrews sain. “That
should bring our enrillment to
about 2250 ”
