Wm. Earthman Dies In Auto Accident
Funeral services were held on
Saturday morning at St. Vincent
de Paul Church for William Jo-
seph Earthman, 21 year old son
of Mi’, and Mrs. James B, Eerth-
Mn of 2215 Glenhaven.
His brothers served as pall
bearers. They are James B
Earthman III, Dr. Thomas D.
Earthman, Robert Earthman,
John A. Earthman, Michael
John A. Earthman, Michael
Earthman, Donald Earthman and
Bruce Earthman. Miss Blanche
Mary Earthman is the surviving
sister. Burial is at Garden Of
Gethsemani.

THREE-WAY TIE FOR LEAD
IN WESTBURY LITTLE LEAGUE
Westbury Little League wound
up last week’s play with a three
way tie for the league lead.
The Cubs, Pirates and Giants
have each chalked up a record of
five wins and three losses.
Right below them are the
Cards with four wins and four
losses, then the Dodgers with
with three wins and five losses
and the Braves with two wins
and six losses.

School and a pre-law Junior at
Georgetown University in Wash-
ington, D.C. He was killed in an
automobile accident near Char-
lottesville, Va. while en route to
Houston for the summer vaca-
tion. His companion, Albert John
Wood ,also of Houston, is in a
critical condition in a Hospital
in Charlottesville.
The car in which the two stu-
dents were riding was struck
head on by an automobile which
swerved onto the wrong side of
the road. The driver of the other
car was Jack D. Stuart, 26, of
Chihowie, Va. He is seriously in-
jured and hospitalized.
Larry Duke of the Pirates led
in batting with, a .576 average.
Larry has scored four home runs
and batted in 21.
Second man in the batting
standings is Danny McGinnis of
the Dodgers with a .545 average
and one home run to his credit.
Marty Lapoint of the Pirates is
third with a .500.
Leading the pitchers is Larry
Duke with a four wins no losses
record. He’s given up only one
run for four games,
