Miss Jackie Sanford and Ronnie
J. Pace were united in marriage
in a double ring ceremony Aug.
12 at Bellaire Methodist Church.
She is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Fred M. Craber,5615Carew,
and the late Orvis W. Sanford.
The groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Jhue C. Pace, 5807 Darling-
hurst.
The bride, given in marriage by
her stepfather, wore a formal gown
of candlelight silk organza. The
empire bodice was fashioned with
a low neckline outlined with Alen-
con lace and elbow sleeves. The
sheath skirt enhanced by a deep
border of lace had a detachable
chapel length train. Her veil of
silk illusion floated from a ring of
matching lace.
Miss Liz Sanford, the bride’s
sister, was maid of honor, and
Mrs. M.J. Weaver Jr., another
sister , was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Bobby
Drouillard and Miss Julia Pace,
the groom’s sisters. Candlelight-
ers were Eric Pace and Miss
Mary Sue Weaver. Miss Sandy
Weaver was flower girl.
The groom’s father was his best
man. Groomsmen were M. J.
Weaver Jr„ Bruce Sanford and
Mrs. C.W- Covington

Miss Sharon Brandstetter,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.M.
Brandstetter, received her B.A.
degree in English from the Uni-
versity of Houston Friday Aug. 25.
The Brandstetters reside at 5823
So. Braeswood.

The bride is attending the Uni-
versity of Houston and the groom
has attended there and was a
member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Miss Mary Phyllis McDonald and
Charles William Covington ex-
changed wedding vows in the Bell-
aire Church of Christ on Aug. 26
at 4 p.m. She is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Weldon C. McDon-
ald, 901 Jolen Court. The groom’s
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles
W. Covington Sr. of 802 Valerie,
Pasadena.
The bride wore a gown of peau
de soie and Alencon lace made by
her maternal grandmother. Her
veil was of silk illusion. She car-
ried a Bible, a gift of the groom’s
mother.
Miss Carol Ann Cox was maid
of honor. Bridesmaid was Miss
Kay Moffeit and junior bridesmaid
was Miss Kimberley Beard.
Alvin R. Alexander served as
best man. Groomsmen were James
Beasley of Nacogdoches and Den-
nis Moyers of Houston.
A reception for the family was
at the home of the bride’s grand-
parents at 3224 Amherst.
The bride is a graduate of Bell-
aire High and attended Stephen F.
Austin College. The groom is at-
tending Stephen F. Austin and the
couple will make their home in
Nacogdoches.
