Miss Adele Frances Nasso and
SP/5 William F. Heath Jr. were
married at Holy Ghost Catholic
Church on June 24. The double ring
ceremony was conducted by Rev.
Matthew Kershan.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. George M. Nasso Sr.,
4545 Wedgewood Dr. Mr. and Mrs.
William F. Heath Sr. of Marshall,
Tex. are the parents of the groom.
The bride wore a formM gown
of chiffon in Empire style. The
sheath silhouette was designed with
a delicate lace bsdice and tapered
sleeves. The shoulder train of
chiffon flowed to chapel length. The
veil of lace trimmed illusion fell
from a tiered crown of lace, pearls
and crystals. The bride carried
her mother’s bridal prayer book
and abluecrystal rosary, given her
by the groom’s mother, covered
with a white rose bouquet.
Maid of honor was Miss Phil-
omena Golden. Bridesmaids were
Miss Linda F reed and Miss Bobbie
Jo Nasso. They wore formal em-
pire sheaths of varied shades of
pink chiffon with sleeves of white
lace.
Best man was David Heath.

Miss Elanor Louise Powers was
married to Robert Lupton Beebe
in the Rice Memorial Chapel on
July 15. The bride’s parents are
Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Towers,
6437 Sewanee St. Mr. and Mrs. H.
Ward Beebe, 547 Streyln.,arethe
parents of the groom.
Honor attendants for the couple
were Mrs. Louis E. Smith of
Refugio and Robert Kern Tips of
Houston.
After a wedding trip to Mexico
City, the couple will live in Hou-
ston.
The bride has a B.A. degree
from Rice University and a M.A.
from Emory University. She is an
instructor of French at the Houston
Baptist College.
The groom is a graduate of Har-
vard University and University of
Texas Law School.
A witch’s strength was in her
hair, according to a widely prev-
alent folk belief, and it could be
destroyed by shaving the head of
a woman suspected of possessing
evil powers!

Tex. Ushers were James Nasso and
Richard Nasso.
The bride is a 1967 graduate of
Marian High School. The groom is
stationed at Fort Hood, Tex. after
serving a year tour of duty in Viet
Nam.
Luncheon Party
To Honor
Miss Heafer
Mrs. William P. Craddock of
6403 Newcastle, will honor Miss
Carolyn Heafer with a luncheon at
the Woodhollow Club at lp.m. Fri-
day, July 21.
Miss Heafer is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Heafer Jr. of
5122 Queensloch and is engaged to
marry Jim Woodruff on August 5.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Paul Woodruff of 3739 Drake.
Miss Nancy Craddock, daughter
of the William Craddock’s will
arrive home Wednesday, July 19,
from Mexico City where she has
been attending the University of the
Americas for the past year. She
will be a guest at the luncheon
with closefriendsandfamilymem-
bers at the bride’s party.
A reception was held at the
bride’s parents’ home after the
ceremony. The couple will make
their home in Killeen after a wed-
ding trip.
Out of town guests were the
groom’s parents, sister and bro-
thers and families from Marshall.

Will Cover
Caravan For Texan
Karen Northcott, 5114 Poca-
hontas, University of Texas Journ-
alism student, will leave Saturday
morning for Belzoni, Miss, to
cover a 50-car food caravan being
donated by Houston Churches and
stores to indigent children of the
area. Victor Emanuel, U. of H.
political science instructor, has
neaded the campaign to raise food
for the area. Karen will report to
the Texan and Argus on area people
who are participating.

or toys can be accepted until Fri-
