It is always a pleasure to say
“Welcome home” to our gada-
bouts. Home again after spend-
ing four weeks with his grand-
parents in Dallas is David
Pitschmanns, seven year old son
of the Carl Pitschmanns, 5819
Moonmist. Neighbours who wit-
nessed the reunion between Da-
vid and his twenty-one month
old brother John say they have
seldom seen a child as delighted
Sc
as John when he saw David
emerge from the car.
Eric, Kirk and Angela Baron,
children of the J. D. Barons at
5827 Moonmist, are back home
from a two week stay with J.
D.’s folks who live near Rosen-
berg.
Also home from vacation is
the John Bailey family, 5834
Moonmist. The Bailey’s jour-
neyed to Brownfield, near Lub-
PROTECT jJfc.

We are happy to report that
Peggy Feist, 5935 High Star,
is doing well after surgery at
Hermann Hospital last Thurs-
day.
Mrs. Ann Arceneaux, 6096
Hornwood, is also recovering
very nicely from her surgery at
Hermann last week.
Both Peggy and Ann should
be home fom the hospital by the
time this news is published.
Perhaps there was a' drouth
of June weddings in Shenan-
doah, but there was certainly a
deluge of June anniversaries.
And I missed one in last week’:
news right next door — that o
Moonmist. Willa is sporting a
beautiful new watch, the git:
of husband Bob to mark their
tenth anniversary on June 27.
Incidentally, Willa has been
spending her spare minutes re-
cently making the prettiest or-
namental bird cages out of styro-
foam balls, nylon net and pipe
cleaners. They would be parti-
cularly attractive in a young
girl’s bedroom or in a femininely
decorated powder room.
Those energetic Krause boys,
6018 Hornwood, go directly from
one sport to another. Last week’s
make-up game brought Dexter’s
Little League baseball play to an
end. So, this week Dexter and
brother Daryl begin swimming
lessons at Quillan Memorial for
six weeks. Last year Dexter
earned two badges — beginner
and advanced beginner — and is
working for his intermediate
badges this year. Daryl will be
working for his beginner’s badge.
.'It’s a perfect full house for the
Nicholas Liveris family at 5911
Moonmist. Little Denise Ann,
who arrived on June 23 weigh-
ing 8 lbs. 5 oz., makes it two
girls and three boys at that
address.
More good news in the area of
recovery from illness is that of
Keene Scott Applewhite, seven-
teen month old son of the Bob
Applewhites, 5823 High Star.
Young Keene, had the doctors
buffaloed for over a week with
his serious ailment, but they
finally reached a diagnosic,
hence a treatment, and now he
is well on the road to recovery.
Sincere sympathy is extended
to Almeda Sewell and her fa-
mily, 6022 Moonmist, on the
sudden death of her father, Z.
B. Norman. Mr. Norman had
been visiting here with the Se-
wells last week and had just
gone on to Oklahoma City when
Almeda received word.

Mike and Catherine Manis of
5984 Moonmist make a habit of
memorable vacations. In pre-
vious years they have gone to
Monterrey and Acapulco. This
year they began their vacation
with four days in Miami at the
Fountainbleu Hotel. They took
a tour of the city, visited the
Sea Aquarium, and saw several
night club shows including that
at the Boom Boom Room, where
many Surfside 6 scenes were
shot.
Then on to the Bahamas and
Nassau. For their four day stay
in Nassau they resided at the
Nassau Beach Hotel where they
were serenaded each evening by
a calypso band and entertained
one night with a poolside bar-
beque and an aqua show. Their
itinerary included a tour of the
city, a visit to the beaufiful Pa-
radise Beach and to Queen Vic-
toria’s Staircase, a trip on a
glass-bottomed boat to view the
sea gardens and a day of shop-
ping at the Straw Market and
other spots.
