two great grandchildren.
The Kellys came to Bellaire
47 years ago to what was then
a scattering of houses here and
there on the prairie. In 1937
they opened a hardware store
in a 11 by 12 rented room next
to what is now Bellaire Phar-
macy on Cedar. From that be-
ginning they steadily build up
the hardware business — now
expanded to three stores — op-
erated by their sons.
And as Bellaire came of age
and closed in around them, the
Kellys began to yearn for el-
bow room. Last year they mov-
ed from 5315 Clare wood to an
attractive new three bedroom
| brick home on a 74 acre tract
south of Almeda to “pioneer”
all over again to begin another
50 years as “pioneers” again.
Their many friends wish
them many more golden years
together.
