This pair from Bellaire are sharpening up their dance steps
these days in preparation for a special performance June
6-7 to benefit the Harris County Chapter of the Muscular
Dystrophy Association of America. Left to right are Bee
Gee Manning, 505 South Avenue B and Pat Cope, 5211
Holly. The program is Variety Dance Revue presented' by
the pupils of Patsy Swayze Studios to be held at Theatre,
Inc., 707 Chelsea, and featuring solo numbers as well as
group dancing including rock and roll, ballet and tap. The
public is invited'.
St. Mark’s Calls New
Rector For August 1
Coming to St. Mark’s Episco-
pal Church, 3816 Bellaire Blvd.,
on August 1 to become rector
q.f the church, is the Rev. Stan-
ley F. Hauser, for the past nine
years, rector at Charles Town,
West Virginia. Prior to that he
was at Sonora, in the Diocese of
West Texas.
Mr. Hauser is a native of San
Antonio, where he graduated
from Thomas Jefferson High
School. Ho received his B. A.
Degree from Sewanee and at-
tended Virginia Theological
Seminary where he finished in
1946.
Mrs. Hauser, the former Mad-
Antonio, and was also gradu-
ated from Thomas Jefferson
elyn Horner, is also from San
High School and attended the
University of Texas.
They have five children, Lyn,
aged 12; Christine, 9; Stanley
Justin, 4V2; and twins, Mark
and John, aged 2.
Until Mr. Hauser assumes his
duties at St. Mark’s in August
the Rev. Armen Jorjorian will
hold the services, assisted by
the Rev. Dale Blackwell. The
regular summer schedule of
services including the celebra-
tion of Holy Communion at 7
a.m. on Wednesdays instead of
9:30 will be continued.
