Judy Sfradinger
Is Honored At
"Syndae Soiree'
Friends of Judy Stradinger,
June graduate at Bellaire High
School, received invitations this
past week to a Sundae Soiree
on Saturday afternoon at
the Maple Street Confectionary
where the proprietors, Mrs.
Richard Marshall, Mrs. Jeff
Townsend, and Mrs. L. T. An-
derson, were entertaining in her
honor.
The honoree and her mother,
Mrs. John Stradinger, received
the guests wearing red and
white corsages designed to re-
semble ice cream cones. Four
waitresses dressed in red with
white apron and caps showed
the guests back into the den
where tables for four, humorous
signs, and a counter laden with
various flavored ice cream balls,
fresh fruit sauces, nuts and top-
pings re-created the atmosphere
of an old fashioned ice cream
parlor. There Miss Mikey Mar-
shall and Miss Jan Stradinger
served as “soda jerks” behind
the red and white counter and
invited each guest to mix her
own sundae to her individual
taste. Misses Patty Marshall,
| Jeanne Stradinger, Carol Town-
send, and Tina Anderson were
the waitresses, and passed
among the tables offering for-
tune cookies to all. About six-
ty of the honoree’s friends were j
present.
