Teen Talk
From Johnston
By DEB O’NEAL
The Greyhound varsity team
jumped Pershing 21-0 last Fri-
day afternoon which boostsour
victories to 6. Congratulations
to the team!
Recently Big "J” had the
honor of having a former Prin-
cess of Rumania visit Johnston
and give a brief talk to ihe
student body. In her speech she
explained that when commun-
ism moved into Rumania she
and her family were forced to
move out. The Princess stated
that she would rather live here
as a citizen here than a Princess
in her country today. She made
a deep impression on the stu-
dent body and instilled not only
a greater sense of pride in our
government but also a feeling
of gratitude for our environ-
ment today. Indeed we owe'her
our most sincere thanks.
The band sponsored amag-
zine sale will end on November
4th so everyone participating
in the sale should sell as many
magazines as possible soon.
Johnston’s thanks should go
to the art department for their
contribution to this season of
football and their encourage-
ment of the student body’s sup-
port by their posters and dis-
plays.
