We sure hope that we never
again welcome a new year In
the same way that we did this
one.
We joined our daughter
Julia for what we thought would
be a short hospital visit. She
was to have her tonsils out
and we would have some X-
rays made.
We spent Thursday night
through Sunday in the hospital
most of that time in traction,
trying to correct an old back
injury.
Ito hospital stay not only
messed up our new year but
it didn’t add anything to our
birthday Sunday either.
Oh, well I School started
again Monday so we moms
can rejoice and let teachers
listen to the kids problems
again and enjoy our self-pity
all by ourselves.
Mrs. Plummer's Second
Grade:

we do.

I predict that in the year
of 1966 somehow, someone
will try to stop the teenage
world of dancing, screaming
and forming teenage vocal
groups that are perfectly
horrible In singing. They
probably won’t have much suc-
cess though for teenagers have
their own little world and don’t
want any older people Inter-
fering. They will be stopped
somehow though, I think and
dancing the jerk, the swim,
and the mashed potato and
wearing short tight dresses
with long manlike, foolish hair
will be out. There will be
good music and singers like
it used to be and no teenagers
on stages acting like wild
animals anymore. This may
sould foolish to some, but
it can possibly happen. After
all, teenagers aren’t the only
people In the world.
I would like for the war in
Viet-Nam to stop. I hope war
