Notice is hereby given that orig-
inal letters of administration upon
the Estate of Karen Bolette Han-
sen, deceased, were granted to me,
the undersigned, on the 4th day of
October, 1954, by the County Court
of Matagorda County. All persons
having claims against said estate
are hereby required to present the
same to me within the time pre-
scribed by law. My residence and
post office address is 411 Second
Street, Palacios, County of Mata-
gorda, State of Texas.

ing my stay in the Nightingale
Hospital. Especially to those who

cards and came to visit me.

the ones that were so kind and
thoughtful in sending beautiful
pot plants and flowers after I
came home. A world of praise and
thanks to the entire Nightingale
staff, nurses and doctors. i*'hey

Notice to Bidders
Sealed proposals, for the con-
struction of a one-story brick
church educational building, will be
received by Mrs. Elsie Luther,
Chairman of the First Methodist
Church Building Committee, Pala-
cios, Texas, up to 2:00 p.m.
(C.S.T.), November 29th, 1954, and
then opened and publicly read.
Copies of the drawings and speci-
fications as prepared by Mr. Will
N. Noonan can be seen in his of-
fice at 706 Travis Building, San An-
tonio, 5, Texas, or can be obtained
from Mrs. Elsie Luther, Palacios,
Texas. A deposit of ten dollars
($10.00) will be required on each
complete set of plans and specifi-
cations obtained which will be re-
funded upon their return in good
condition within ten (10) days after
the opening of the bids.
Each proposal, to be given con-
sideration, must be accompanied
by a Cashier’s Check, Certified
Check, or Bidder’s Bond in the
amount of 5r/c of the bid. The check
or bond of all unsuccessful bidders
will be returned immediately. That
of the successful bidder will be held
until a contract is executed and a
satisfactory performance bond fur-
nished, with the understanding
that should the successful bidder
refuse to enter into a contract or
to furnish a satisfactory perform-
ance bond, he will forfeit his check
or bond as liquidated damage for
failure to carry out his part of the
proposal.
The right of the owner is re-
served to accept or reject any or all
proposals, or to waive any ir-
regularities or informalities that
might appear in any proposal re-
ceived.

received by the City Secretary,
City of Talacios, at the City Hall
until 7:30 P. M. Monday, Novem-
ber 1st, 1954, and all bids will be
opened and publicly read in the
City Council Chamber at 8:00 P. M.
on the date for: the pick-up and
delivery to the city dumping
grounds of garbage. Said garbage
pick-up to be performed in com-
pliance with contract with the City
of Palaios, Texas.
Form of contract, specifications
and other information may be ob-
tained from the City Secretary,
City of Palacios, at the City Hall
in Palacios, Texas.
The City of Palacios reserves
the right to reject any or all bids,
or to accept any bid deemed ac-
vantageous to it.
