The Junior Garden Club will meet
Wednesday, March 23 at 9:30 A.M.
in the Episcopal Hall. All members

HONOR STUDENT
When the Dean’s Honor Roll list
at Sul Ross State College, Alpine,
Texas, was recently announced it
was ascertained that Johnnie R.
McDaniel, junior from Palacios,
Texas, was one of the honor stu-
dents.
Mrs. L. C. Smith, Mrs. Clara
Barnes and Mrs. D. N. Tate were
in San Marcos last Wednesday and
Thursday to visit their brother and
wife, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Ellis.
Demonstration Club
The Palacios Home Demonstra-
tion Club will meet Friday March
18, 2:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs.
A. H. Petersen.
Roll call: What is your living
room used for? The Agpnt will
give the program; Introduction of
living room improvement, lighting.
The last meeting was March 4
at the home of Mrs. J. L. Koerber.
The program was Ceramics given
by Mrs. Koerber. Everyone told
their hobbys which consisted of
cooking, sewing, crocheting, gar-
dening, flowers, and fishing. Mrs.
Petersen won the prize for recrea-
tion.
The hostess served refreshments
to 12 members and four visitors.—
