In a head-on collision between
two interurbans at a point on
curve near Woodlake Tuesday
afternoon, twenty-five persons
were injured, several of them
sustaining serious injuries, and
others suffering injuries of
undetermined nature.
The most serious injury was
suffered by Miss Doris Lannon
of Garland), who had to under-
go a foot amputation at a local
hospital shortly after the aeci

Haynes.
Other parties on the cars and
among the injured were Private
and Mrs. Thomas A. Reeves,
Pottsboro; W. W. Bennett, Dal-
las; and Mrs. II. M. Williams,
Ballinger.
The southgound car was in
charge of operator Tom N. Max-
well, Dallas and the northbound
car was operated by R. P. Hun-
ter of Sherman. Both cars were
telescoped and both operators
suffered injuries.
All available ambulances from
both Denison and Sherman were
pressed into service and physi-
cians and hospitals were kept
busy for some time, while rela-
tives who could get here from
out-of-tdhvn points arrived as
soon as flooded condition of
waters permitted.
