Joe Euper, wife ami daughter,
Irene, arrived from Monterrey,
Mexico yesterday morning. Their
experiences in Mexico were any-
thing but pleasant. They all had
the yellow fever, Joe especially a
severe case, but they are enjoying
excellent health now. M s. Euper
says she is g ad to get back to a
country where she can talk.

employment. Wages were reduced
last week to 32,000 workers in the
New England cotton mills. Six
thousand men have been thrown
out at Pueblo, Colorado; 7,500 by
the International Harvester com-
pany. In New England 25,000
iron moulders are reduced 10 per
cent. This is a sudden reaction
from the high wages which were
demanded and obtained last spring
and demonstrates the fart that no
combination to advance wages can
maintain them after business fal s
off.
