not refrain from putting on a reception of
blowing horns and sirens to mark jhis ar-

Aged men and women by the scores
eagerly sought a look at him while many
appeared at points he was to be in order

'The Governor’s Visit Here
Highly Democratic
The visit of ijhe Governor of Texas, W
Lee O’Daniel to Denison in an informal got
acquainted trip with the incoming memberss
of the Legislature, U something that marks
a new departure in state politics, but i
highly commendable.
It marked simplicity, which was what
good representative of Ijhe peoplee Would
plan. *
If the official staff of the state would
make periodical non-political visits over
the state they would go far toward remov-
ing many personal prejudices and at tlhe
same time better eefuip themselves for
serving the people. ^
The people of Denison will not forget
soon the visit here of the governor, and it
is quite certain that the executive carried
away impressions of this city that he could
never have formed otherwise.
Denison is glad the Governor came to
visit her people.

The new feature is the Japan-
