NOTICE
To all owning or claiming any proper-
ty abutting upon the hereinafter
mentioned portions of streets in
the City of Shamrock, Texas, and
to all owning or claiming any in-
terest in any such property, and to
the owners of railways using, occu-
pying, and the crossing the herein-
below mentioned streets with its
rails and tracks, and too all owning
or claiming any interest in such
railway:
The Governing Body of the City
of Shamrock has ordered that the
hereinbelow mentioned streets be im-
proved by raising,, grading and filling,
and installing concrete curbs and gut-
ters and paving with 1 Mi-inch War-
renite Bitulithic Surfacing on 3V4-
ineh black or asphaltic concrete base,
together with incidentals and appur-
tenances, and contract has been made
and entered into with El Paso Bitu-
lithic Company for the making and
construction of such improvements.
Estimates of the cost of such im-
provements for each such portion of
street or highway has been prepared.
The portions of streets or highways
so to be improved, together with the
estimated cost of the improvements
for each such portion of street or
highway, and the amount or amounts
per front foot proposed to be
assessed against the abutting property
and the owners thereof, on each such
portion of street, and the amount
proposed to be assessed for improve-
ments in the area and between rails
and tracks, double tracks, turnouts
and switches, and two feet on each
side thereof, are as follows:
On Main Street, from its intersec-
tion with the north line of 4th Street to
its intersection with the north line of
5th Street, known and designated as
Unit or District No. 1, estimated
cost of the improvements is $7,890.95,
the estimated amount per front foot
to be assessed against abutting proper-
ty and owners thereof for curb is
$0,315; the estimated amount per
front foot to be assessed against abut-
ting property and owners thereof for
improvements exclusive of curb is
$8.7050.
On Main Street, from its intersec-
tion with the north line of 5th Street
to its intersection with the north line
of 12th Street, known and designated
as Unit or Distriet No. 2. the esti-
mated eost of the improvements is
$42,070.55; the estimated amount per
front foot to be assessed against abut-
ting property and the owners thereof
for curb is $0,315; the estimated
amount per front foot to lie assessed
and designated as Unit or District
No. 5, estimated eost of the improve-
ments $5,757.92; the estimated amount
per front foot to be assessed against
abutting property and owners there-
of for curb is $0,215; the estimated
amount per front foot to be assessed
against abutfing property and owners
thereof for improvements exclusive of
curb is $6.72091.
On Second Street, from its inter-
section with the west line of Choctaw
Street to its intersection with the
west line of Arkansas Street, known
and designated as Unit or District
No, 6, estimated cost of the improve-
ments is $5,388.78; the estimated
amount per front foot to be assessed
against abutting property and owners
thereof for curb is $0,315; the esti
mated amount per front foot to be
assessed against abutting property and
owners thereof for improvements ex-
clusive of curb is $6.72091,
On First Street, from its intersec-
tion with the oast line of Main Street
to its intersection with the east line
of Madden Street, known and desig-
nated as Unit or District No. 7, esti-
mated cost of the improvements is

curb is $0,315; estimated amount per

be and appear and will be fully
heard concerning said improvements,
the cost thereof, the amounts to be
assessed therefor, the benefits to the
respective parcels of abutting proper-
ty and to railways by means of the
improvements on the portion of street
or highway upon which the property
abuts, and concerning the regularity,
validity, and sufficiency of the con-

to such improvements and proposed
assessments therefor, and concerning
any matter as to which they are
entitled to hearing under the law in
force in the City and under the pro-
ceedings of the City with reference
to said matters. Following such
hearing assessments will be levied
against abutting property and the
owners thereof, and against railways,
and such assessments, when levied
shall be a personal liability of the
owners of such property, and a first
and prior lien upon the property as
provided by the law in force in the
city, and under which the proceedings
are taken, being the Act passed at
the First Called Session of the 40th
Legislature of the State of Texas,
known as Senate Bill No. 68.
The improvements on each said
portion of street or highway con-
stitute .an entirely separate and dis-
tinct unit of improvement, all to the
same extent as if entirely separate
and distinct proceedings had been
taken with reference to the improve-
ments and assessments therefor in
connection with improvements on each
such portion of street or highway, and
the assessments against the property
abutting upon any unit shall be ami
are in no wise affected by any fact
or circumstance relating to or con-
nected with the improvements in
other units.
Of all said matters and things, all
owning or claiming any such property
or any interest therein, and all own-
ing or claiming the railway using,
occupying or crossing said portions
of streets, or any interest therein,
as well as all others in anywise in-
or affected, will take notice.
