WHAT 18 SINT
Many people fail to live the right
kind of lhres because they do not
understand what sin la Bin is the
only thing , that will close the gates
of heaven to mortal man. .
For hundreds of years the Gen-
tile world tried to direct their own
steps and failed, because they did
pot know what sin was. ‘Tt Is not
In man that walketh to direct his
own steps.” Jer. 10:33. The dsf-
lnation of sin is clearly defined by
Ood; therefore It 1s to mans In-
terest to learn what Ood defines a*
sin.
'Whosoever commltteth sin trans-
gresseth also the law: for sin Is
the transgression of the law.” 1
John 3:4. If we fail to abide by
the law of Christ then we become
a.transgressor of the law. To trans-
gress. la to go beyond what the law
says—“Whosoever goeth onward and
abideth not in the teaching of
Christ, hath not Ood: he that abid-
eth In the teaching, the same hath
both the Father and the Son.” 3
John 0 R.V.

are not authorised by the law of
Christ. To use mechanical music
In worship is to go beyond that
which Is written. Christ no where
ever authorised the use of Instru-
ments in worship. Every organisa-
tion. or act set up by man shall
be rooted up by Christ.” “Every
plant ^which my heavenly Father
planted not shall be rooted up.
“Matt. 16:13. Dear reader, are you
searching God’s word to be sure
that you are not transgressing the
teachings of Christ?
'But he that doubteth is condem-
med If he eat, because he eateth
not of faith and whatsoever is not
of faith Is sin.” Rom. 14:33. There
is only one way that we can know
whether we are being led by faith,
and that Is to be led by God's word.
“Faith comes by hearing and hear-
ing by the word of God.” A per-
son sins when doing a thing which
he doubts Is right. If he does not
have the assurance of faith that
it la right, he is condemmed in the
sight of Ood it be dobs It.
How can one be free from doubt
that denominational organisations,
names and creeds, and the use ot
musle-are tight when
we can not find any authorisation
of them In the word of God? Sure-
