CHARM
Ugly, unflattering wrinkles are cer-
tainly no help to personal charm.
Yet, eyes subjected to bright,
blinding glare must strain and squint
to see clearly. Glare strain, which
makes eyes squint, also make ugly,
disfiguring crowsfeet—tiny strain
lines around the eyes. SOFT-UTE
Lenses help because they reduce the
necessity for straining or squinting.
They tone down light to a normal,
comfortable level for effortless, com-
fortable VISION.
Also made in Ful-Vue bifocals and
PANOPTHC BIFOCALS, the world's
best Lenses. Make seeing a pleasure.

Bruno’s New Lawyer
Romance on a rampage, twink-
ling toes, mellifluous melodies, rip-
jpling rhythms, whimsical witticisms
! and a captivating cast will jnake
j you applaud “To Beat the Band,” a
j musical hit, showing Wednesday
'only at the Texas theatre.
The production boasts a triad of
brilliant new teams In the persons
[of Hugh Herbert and Helen Brod-
' erick, comedy duo; Roger Pryor and
I Phyllis Brooks, radiant romancers;
and Johnny Mercer and Matt Mal-
neck, songsmiths supreme.
Hugh Herbert discovers Roger
Pryor hanging perilously on an awn-
ing of his penthouse, following a
suicide dive. After rescuing the
dashing young blade and talking it
over, a phone message brings news
that Herbert’s eccentric old aunt
has died and left him $59,000,000.
But the proverbial string to the
will Is a joy-killer, because it pro-
vides that Herbert, who is desper-
ately in love with youthful Phyllis
Brooks, must marry a widow within
three days.
Herbert's rum-dum, 'bewildered
brand of comedy, aibetted by Miss
Broderick’s dead-pan drolleries, is
certain to bring a demand for an
encore by the sparkling new flicker
team.
Handsome Roger Pryor crooned
love ditties for lovely Phyllis Brooks.
Eric Blore gives his customary four-
star performance and Fred Keating’s
cap group of musicomedlans. Their
midget dance novelty is one of the
cleverest specialties ever conceived
in Hollywood, while their circus
burlesque is a highlight in the ex-
tensive gamut of screen comedy.
The band was imported from New
York especially for the picture by
RKO.
