Miss Crippen has also taught
them to re-model hats, make bound
buttonholes, und cutting and fit-
ting dress patterns. They have done
hina painting, and arts and craft
work oi various types, built barbe-
cue grills and made tables and
■hairs to be used on their lawns
and in their back yards.
Most of the members have deep"
freeze units and prepare vegetables,
ruits and meats, aside from mak-
ing relishes, Jellies and preserves
o .upply their tables through the
year.
Many of them grow prize flow-
rs, iris, chrysanthemums, roses,
and c annas that have made their
lower gardens show places.
Former members who are not

attended the 30th anniversarly
luncheon were. Mines. H. T. Fields,
John B. Harvey, Milt Williams, R.
T. Hill, E. D. Moore, R. W. Cole-
man, R. A. Nichols, Sr„ Valta
Tarbct; and a 4-H Club girl,
Teanne Dnberry, who Is sponsored
bv the club.

turned from a five-week visit to
Vernal, Utah, where she visited in
the home of her brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. O.
Phillips.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Majors
(colored) arc the parents of a son.
Roger, Jr., born In Shamrock
General Hospital May 24. The baby
weighed six pounds and two ounces.
Mr. and Mrs. Willis Gowin and
children, Sandra and Paul, and
Murtry, W. W. Baxter A. J Lay-
cock, Della Drake, Bert Boland,
Lorene Nelson, Wesley Leake and
O, T. Glasscock.
Mrs. Ruth Stephens is presi-
dent of the club. She and several
other members were unable to at-
tend the luncheon.
Gowin, made a lecent trip to Ol
ton, and reached there In time
to watch the tornado as it passed
about one and one half miles south
of tht Duward Price home where
they visited. The Prices reside
about two and one-half miles west
of Olton. Mrs. C. V. Gowin remain-
ed for a few days visit In the home
of her son-in-law and daughter.
Mrs. Ruth' Wells of Lela, and
Mrs. Clara Rankins made a trip
to Dallas last week and Mrs. Wells
proceeded to Beaumont for a brief
stay with her sister, Mrs. Jewell
Mills, who returned home with
Mrs. Wells for a short visit. Mrs.
Wells visited her son, Delma Wells
and family of Port Neches, and en
route home the ladles stopped over
In Henrietta for a visit with Mr.
and Mrs Jim Wells and Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Wells.
Mr. and Mrs. Royce Lewis ,Sr ,
and Miss Ruth Zelgler, visited last
week end In Lubbock with Dr. and
Mrs. Royce Lewis and children.
They were Joined in Lubbock by
George B. Lewis of Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Horace Morgan was in New
Mexico on a recent trip and visited
in the heme of her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs B. L. Biddy
of Roswell, and with Mr. and Mrs.
Jess Roberts of Ruidoso, N. M. Mrs.
Roberts is a granddaughter of
Mrs. Morgan.
