from Fort Worth and Mr. and
Mrs. Dennis Cox also from Fort
Worth spent Christmas day with
their parents, Mr. and Mr.

Hollis Cox.
Aunt Ann Walton and Mrs.
J. E. Steele spent Christmas
week with relatives in Fort
Worth. They returned home Sat-
urday.

Rose taking treatments in a
sanatorium there. May she soon
recover. .
C. B. Ander and family made
a trip to Hobbs, New Mexico, to
visit their daughter, Mrs .Mary
Hooks and family during the
holidays. c>
Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Hood had
all their children and his moth-
er, Mrs. Tom Hood, home for
Christmas. Tony, Tike and Troy
returned home with the Bow-
lings for a visit in Fort Worth.

Beta Club Entertains
With Christmas Party
Monday night, Dec. 23, the
Beta Club of the Dublin High
School had a Christmas party in
the home of the president, John
Turney. The party was planned
by the officers, including the
president, vice-president Jay
Carter, secretary- Rebecca Shil-
lingburg; treasurer, Sylvia
Brown, and club sponsor, Mis
Wayne Wilcox.
Club members and their
guests were entertained with
music, dancing and games Re-
freshments included cookies

Rites Held For
Frankie B. Branam
Funeral services were held
Thursday, Dec. 26, in the Har-
rell Funeral- Chapel at 2:00 p.m
for Miss Frankie Bell Branam
who passed away December 25
ii> San Antonio at the age of 80
Rev.. Loyd Sanders officiated th<
services.
Miss Branam was bom April
4, 1883 in Alabama.
Survivors include one sis cr
Mis. C. M. Stinson of Paducah
and 11 nieces and nephews
Those attending were Mr. and
Mrs. E. L. Read and Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Strong.
Pallbearers were J F Stevens,
Don Kilgore, R, W Pettijohn,
Woodrow Springer, H. C. Mc-
Camey and W. L. Gee.
Burial was in Lower Greens
Creek Cemetery.
Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Sanders over the Christmas ho’i-
days were their children and
grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs.
Schuler Trice, CVnfhia and
Craig of Ilurst, Mr. and Mrs.

J. E. Steele attended the final
quilting party of the year at
Comyn last week. During the
year a total of 82 quUts were
quilted by Uje dub and they
plan another year of like activi-
ties. Quite strong • competition
against the electric blanket busi-
ness.

spent Sunday with his brother,
Fred, and family at Comanche.
Christmas day guests in the
Aaron Davis home were his si-
ter, Mr. Clarence Knick from
Levelland. Granny Davis and
Vesta and Mrs. Smith from Co-
manche. Mr. and Mrs. T. E.
Dullin from Clyde, Buddy Davis
and family from De Leon and
Mr, and Mrs. Donnell Davis,
Cynthia and Debbie * from Co-
myn.
Orbin Fisher Dies
Funeral Here Friday
Orbin Fisher, 64, passed away
at 8 A. M. Sunday in the hospital
in San Antonio. The funeqal ser-
vices will be held at tht Har-
rell Funeral Chapel in Dublin at
2 P.M. Friday , January 3 In-
terment will follow in th<i New
Dublin Cemetery.

fly in from Los Angeles, Calif.,
to attend the funeral. A siiter,
Mrs. Joe Little, Sr., who Is virj-
tering in California will no^ be
able to attend. Mrs. Charlie

er, sister-in-law, reside in Dub-
lin. A brother, Terrell Fisher, is
in the Veterans Hospital at Tem
pie at the present tirAe.
Mrs. Mildred Rippetoc of Ker-
mit visited with her mother.
Mrs. Nellie Steward and her un-
cle, O. D. Mulloy, during the
Christmas holiday season.
