George S. Pruett

fire and water that she had to

home Sunday afternoon from a
visit in Arlington with her son,
Connie Mack Self, and family.

ternoon with his mother, Mrs.
Jessie Finley.
Mrs. Hattie Sowell and Mrs.
Mary Penry are visiting in Ty-
ler with her son, Hal Sowell,
and wife.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Geye
and Judy of Lufkin visited Sat-
urday afternoon with his moth-
er, Mrs. Fred Geye. They drove
to the Smith Nursery near Gor-
man to purchase peaches.
Mr. and Mrs. Hob Thompson
and grandchildren, Gregory and
Candice Dratt of Waco spent
Sunday in Abilene with his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Thomp-
Pruett was born February 26,
1872, to Mr. and Mrs. W. S.
Pruett in Alabama. He was mar-
ried to Mary B. Ellis November
26, 1891 and eight children were
born to the couple, one of
whom, a daughter, died in in-!
fancy. He was later married to j
Evelyn Duckworth, who sur-
vives him, and who now lives
in Hieo.
Other survivors include two!
daughters, Mrs. Almeda Fellers |
of Hico, and Mrs. Vera Simpson |
of Humble City, New Mexico-1
His sons are B. J. Pruett of
Hico, Hubert Pruett of Seminole, |
Leo Pruett of Seminole, Otis i
Pruett of Lovington, N.M., and
Curtis Pruett of Lubbock. The
deceased is also survived by 16
grandchildren, 30 great-grand-
children and one great-great-
grandchild.
The deceased'" was a member
of the Baptist church. Rev. R. E. |
Tatum of Hico officiated at the I
chapel service, and interment!
was made at Lovington Cem-|
tery, Lovington, New Mexico.
