V. W. Greer, a member of the line
constructing force of the Western
Union Telegraph Co , happened to
an accident last week which result-
ed iu the loss of two Ungers on his
right hand. Mr. Greer and a force
of men had been at work near Dub-
lin repairing damages by the recent
flood and came into town on the
work train. While his car was stand-
ing on a siding in the central yards
here, an engine backed against the
car with a sudden impact and the
car door was slammed too against Mr.
Greer’s hand. The lingers were
terribly crushed and two ot them had
to he amputated.
