Miss Marielle Suzanne Kahn and Mr. Gary Alan Weintraub of Houston, were
united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at half past 7 in the evening, at the
Regency Ballroom of the Omni Houston Hotel. The joyous and elegant double-
ring ceremony was officiated by Rabbi Adrienne Scott and Cantor Daniel Mutlu of
Congregation Beth Israel, with music provided by an octet.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Raymond and Leora Kahn of Houston. She is the
granddaughter of Rachel Teicher of Montreal, and the late Michael Teicher, and the
late Marion and Manfred Kahn of New York.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Weintraub of Houston. He is
the grandson of the late Rose and David Dittman and the late Annie and William
Weintraub, of Houston.
Escorted by her parents, the bride wore a designer platinum couture gown. The
strapless duchess satin ballgown featured a crystal beaded bodice and chapel train,
embellished with Swarovski crystals and grand beaded appliques. To complement
the gown, the bride chose a custom-designed soft illusion cathedral-length veil
trimmed in silver and carried a cascading bouquet of white phaleanopsis orchids
and stephanotis, wrapped with satin ribbon. The bride wore diamond earrings gifted
to her by her mother and a diamond bracelet, gifted to her by her grandmother.
Julie Leat Yufe, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids
included: Katherine Fishman, Bethany Last, Rebecca Miller, Amira Pollock and
Jessica Starkschall. Miss Anushri Michaella Kahn, niece of the bride, served as a
flower girl.
Mr. Kevin Richie served as best man. Groomsmen included: Mr. Michael
Weintraub, brother of the groom; Mr. Mark Kahn, brother of the bride; Mr. Marc
Gessner and Mr. Scott Stannard. Serving as ushers were Mr. Elan Tavor, Mr. David
McGuire, Mr. Matthew Pollock, Mr. Matthew Last, Mr. Ben Koch and Mr. Ben Miller.
Dinner and dancing, hosted by the bride’s parents, followed the ceremony.
The bride, a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, received her Master
of Science in experimental psychology from Texas Christian University, Fort
Worth, and currently is continuing her studies toward a doctorate in experimental
psychology with a concentration in neuroscience.
The groom, a graduate of the University of Houston, received his Bachelor of
Science, with honors, in marketing technology and industrial development. He is
co-owner of StageSpot LLC., based in Austin, Texas.
The newlyweds reside in Fort Worth, Texas, with their beloved pets, Spot and
Romeo. □

Alyssa Gail Milewits of Houston
and Mark Anthony Faulkenberg of
Tell City, Ind., were united in marriage
on Jan. 2, 2012, in Las Vegas.
The bride is the daughter of Marvin
and Marilyn Milewits of Houston. She
is the granddaughter of Helen and the
late Nathan Beckman of Tamarac,
Fla., and the late Julie and Israel
Milewits. The groom is the son of Sue
and the late James E. Faulkenberg of
Tell City, Ind.
The bride earned a Bachelor
of Arts in economics from Emory
University in Atlanta. Before moving
to Columbus, Ohio, to join her
husband, Alyssa held a position as
senior associate at Neuberger Berman in Manhattan. The groom graduated
from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a degree in
finance. After holding senior operational risk and compliance positions in
the asset management and financial services industries, Mark currently owns
and operates Velorum Consulting Group, a consulting firm specializing in
risk and compliance consulting. Mark also served in the U.S. Army during
Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm and was awarded the Bronze Star
for his service.
Mark and Alyssa currently reside in Columbus, Ohio.
