Winners of the second annual tur-

donated by the Family Center IGA.
Team members who sold raffle tick-

It is the order deadline for fresh
holiday garlands and the last day the
club members will be selling pecans
in the Family Center IGA parking lot
“Order fresh holidays garlands for
home or business and enjoy the smell

whole holiday season long,” said
Kiwanian Jana Snow.
The garlands cost $15 each and are
10 feet long.
To order, call Snow at 749-4939 or
Tonya May at 749-0549. Garlands will
be available for pickup the first week
of December.
The new crop Texas pecans
(unshelled) sell for $4 a pound, in
one-pound, three-pound and five-
pound packages. All proceeds will go
to the scholarship fund.
Club members will sell the pecans
out of the Kiwanis trailer in the Fam-

Orders of five pounds or more will

This was the scene at the corner of Alister and Beach streets on Monday morning, Nov. 15, after the
island was inundated with rain causing the ‘lake’ to form. Two cars were stalled out with one driver
