Fitchett’s Sewing Center which
has been in business in Orange for J

a new location in order to allow
space needed for opening a fabric
shop, Joe Fitchett, owner, announc-
ed today.
The firm which will operate un-
der a new name, Fitchett’s Fine
Fabrics will hold its formal open-
ing Friday in its new location,1

tiipied a building at 203 6th. St.
Since opening here in 1946, the
firm’s operation has been confined
mostly to the sale of sewing ma- -
chines, trim, notions and sewing
supplies. Now in addition to carry-!
ing a complete line of fabrics the
renter also will stocji patterns, Joe
Fitchett, oWoer announced ^ A.....
The new location gives the firm
approximately J,300 square feet
of floor space and allows adequate
room for the display of fabrics as
well as machines. \
The firm will open with a new
spring and summer line'of fabrics '
including linens, cottons, silks and
nylons. , ____ \
Fitchett also announced that two
fabric experts, representing two
mills, will be present to answer
questions ter customers concern-1
ing the washing and handling df
materials.
Also on display will be several
dresses made from materials that
will be carried by the firm. These-
frocks were used in the recent i
fabric show held at the Hilton
Hotel in Dallas, Fitchett said.
This expansion also made neces-
sary the employment of an addi- j
