It wag announced that the mem-
bers are still selling tickets on the
handmade quilt for which a draw-
ing will be held Feb. 15. The tick-
ets are available from any auxil-
iary member for 50 cents each or
three for $.1, The winner does
/ not have' lo be present at the
drawing. Anyone interested in
viewing the quilt may see it at
Moses’ Drive In Food Store in
Bridge City. Proceeds from the
quilt will be used to ne!p pay the
final installment on the Firemen's
Community Hall, which is due in
March. , i
_r Refreshments were served.
Others in attendance were Mrs.
J. A. Thomas, Mrs. Ray Barclay
and Mrs. Clarence Calhoun.
The next meeting is scheduled
for Tuesday night, Jan. 25 at 7
p.m. at the Firemen's hall. A
membership drive is in progress
and anyope interested will be
welcomed.

Has Bible Study
BRIDGE CITY (Spl) — Mem
bers of the Assembly of God
WMC gathered at the church
Tuesday afternoon for a Bible
study.
The meeting was opened with i
prayer, then a short business ses-
sion was conducted by Mrs. W. B.
Sherrill, president. Each mem-
ber gave a report od the com-
munity mission work done.
Mrs. Sherrill taught the Bible
study before the meeting was
closed with prayer. Others attend-
ing were Mrs. O. C. Cassels, Mrs.
1. T. Mitchell and Mrs. N. D.
Fleming.
The WMC will meet Tuesday at
1 p.m. at the church.
Lady Ellen Winters
Honored on Birthday
BRIDGE CITY (Spl) — Lady
Ellen Winters, daughter of Mr.
and Mra. H. A. Wintera, was
honored at a party given at her
home Sunday afternoon in ob-
servance of her 11th birthday
which will be Wedneaday, Jan. 12.
The birthday cake was covered
with white icing. It held 11
cendlee and the inscription, "Hap-
py Birthday." This was served
along with ehoeolate cake, cook-
ies, candy and punch after the
girls were entertained with a
gamt session.
Guests attending were Leona
Dupuy, Delie Vann, Katherine,
Beverly and Joyce Breaux, Shir-
ley and Patricia Fournier, Kathy
Hebert, Sandra Carruth and Linda
Sartin.
