Trinity Baptist to present musical drama
A.s a gift to the Sweetwater and sur-
rounding communities in this Christmas
season, the Sanctuary Choir of Trinity
Baptist Church will present Christmas
According to Luke on Saturday, Dec. 12 at
7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. i:j at 6 p.m. This
is a fully staged musical drama written
by the budding young composer Paul

in the community.
The musical details the story of the
birth of Christ from the perspective of
the gospel writer Luke, played by Paul
McCarthy. As an aging man, Luke feels
the responsibility to chronicle the events
of Christ's birth, and hell tells the miracu-
lous story to his granddaughter, Hannah
(Madison Jones). The audiences is taken
on a journey through the expectation of
the coming of the Messiah, to the glorious
song of angel choirs as they proclaim his
birth, and finally to the moment when we
realize that Salvation is here.
This performance will feature the choir
of Trinity Baptist church accompanied
bv musicians from Hardin-Simmons
University and the Abilene area as well
as soloists and actors from Trinity. It wall
be under the direction of music minis-
ter Josh Wright.
