less for us to say be will appreci-
ate a liberal, fair consideration of

D. C. Russell of Naples bas tbe
Breeze announce him this week
as a candidate for tax collector.
He bas been a citizen of tbe coun-
ty since a small boy and bas never
held office, except oouuty commie-
ioner for years several years
since when the county was young
and the pay was menial. The peo-
ple of the county have been
brought up aud come in here, ex
cept a portion of the older people,
daring bis life time here and all
know and know of him as a man,
a citizen, and of his fitness for tbe
offioe which he aspires, hence we
suggest that all give hie claims
due consideration on tbe day of
the primary, July 23.
The name of A. W. Sweeney ap-
pears in the Breeze as a candi-
date for the office of couuty judge
iu and for Morris county. Mr.
Sweeney has been a citizen of the
county a long time and is too well
known to the people to need an
extensive commendation at our
bauds. He says: “I have served
the people of Morris county as
county and district clerk, sheriff
and tax collector, and now as com-
missioner, and, if elected judge
will be judge to serve all the peo-
ple alike.” Now we will state
that he is before tbe people sub-
ject to the democratic primary in
July, aud will be glad aud thankful
for a fair consideration of tbe vo-
ters on that day.
