choir of the First Presbyterian
church hail their regular practice
with Mrs. S. 1. Edwards. At the
conclusion of the rehearsal Mrs.
Edwards gave them a happy sur-
prise by passing hot chocoliate
and cake and gave them permis-
sion to make candy which was a
very ‘‘sweet pleasure.”
Dr. Richardson was in the city
from Nolan today and reports
about 100 cases of whooping
cough in that part of the county.

ter a few days illness with pneu-
monia.
The funeral services will be held
by Rev. G. S. Hardy at 4 p. m. this
afternoon at the grave in the City
Cemetery.
The family have not been in
Sweetwater long and are living in
a tent south of town.
