At the regular bi-annual eioe-

J April 3rd, PUT. there was a fail-
ure to elect a mayor for said city
for the ensuing two years, and
since by the election returns of
said election, J. S. Grisham and
R. A. Ragland received the great-
est number of votes for said office j
and the City Commission has duly
ordeued an election to he had in
-aid city to he held on Saturday
May 5th, 1917 for the purpose of
