The night service in Bethlehem
Lutheran Church last Sunday night
was rather unique and interesting.
The first part of the service em-
braced a good sermon*in the German
tongue by Rev. A. Beteit of Coryell.
This was greatly enjoyed by all pres-
ent. The second part contained,
besides a number of the musical
selection* and readings by members
of the Luther League, a splendid
address by Mr. Thco. Fclkenberg
of Taylor. The Church was filled
to capacity by an attentive and
appreciative audience.
No service will be held in Bethle-
hem Lutheran Church Sunday be-
cause of the absence of the pastor,
who will be in Giddings to hold sev-
eral services. Sunday school, how-
ever, will be held at 9 a. m. under
the direction of Miss Amanda Grell.
Sunday, September 13th in the
A. M., service the examination and
confirmation of this year’s catecheti-
cal class, numbering 17, will take
place in Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
