Theie is never a day that business
men whose time is valuable do not
have to waste some time in waiting
for others to keep their engagements.
The amount of time one is forced
to lose in this wav every year will
run into days, and often those who
are forced to waste it can not af-
ford the loss. If you have an en-
gagement of any kind with another,
it is your duty to met that engage-
ment at the agreed time, even though
vou mav be at gnat inconvenience
in doing so. Your time may be your
own. but you have no claim on the
time of another unless you are pay-
ing for it at an agreed price. Per-
haps the world should not be run

to work by the clock and live by it

Mis. J. W. Crow is confined to her
i bed with a 1 adly sprained qjikle, and
I it will probably be sometime yet be-
' fore =he will gain normal use of the
[injured member. Friday of last
week, in stepping out of the door
she had the misfortune to turn her
foot, resulting in the straining of
the tendons, causing he excruciating
pain and confined her to her bed.
And to add to her discomfort her
son. Bennie, also fell the victim of
an accident to one of his legs that
has confined him to h.s bed. Thurs-
day evening of this week, while vis-
iting a house under construction, he
fell through an unfloored portion
severely lacerating one of his legs.
Troubles rarely come singlely.
The baseball season opened here
last Sunday by a game between the
Hondo Aztecs and the Coca Colas of
San Antonio, a double header being
played. In the morning contest the
visitors took the game by a score of
8 to 1. In the afternoon’s contest
the locals came back strong and de-
feated the city aggregation by a
score of 6 to 2. The Aztecs have
their caps in the diamond and are
ready to entertain all clubs looking Bros,
for games—and we feel safe in say- Florence
ing all visitors will confess they have
had a game after a contest with the
Aztecs.
