MISS ALISON ANNE QUOYESER
and Tony Stuart Kasavana were
married on Dec. 31. The bride
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James J. Quoyeser Jr., 5122 In-
digo. Parents of the groom are
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kasavana of
Stamford, Mass. The former
Miss Quoyeser is a 1969 gradu-
ate of Bellaire High School and
is attending Smith College. Ka-
savana is attending graduate
school at the University of Mas-
sachusetts.
Red Cross Offers
Nurses Aide Course
The American Red Cross will
teach a free Nurses’Aide Course,
beginning on Jan. 11.
Classes will be held on Mon-
days and Wednesdays from 9 to 12
noon for four consecutive weeks.
A tour of Ben Taub and Jeffer-
son Davis will be conducted to
show participants the jobs they
will be doing as volunteer nurses’
aides.
Anyone interested in becoming
a nurse’s aide should call Red
Cross at 227-1151 and registeras
soon as possible.

The 8 lb. 1 oz. boy, named
Aaron was born Jan. 1 at Me-
morial Baptist Southwest at
12:36 p.m.
The proud parents have won
many gifts from Southwest
area merchants to send
the baby on its way.

In an evening ceremony Dec.
23 at the Westbury United Me-
thodist Church, Miss Mary Diane
Rose and Eric Russell Brand
were married in a double ring
ceremony officiated by Dr.
Compton Riley.
The bride is the daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. George Gibson Rose
of 5306 Rutherglen. The groom’s
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry
M. Brand, 10220 Memorial Dr.
For her wedding the bride
chose a gown of ivory peau de
sole embellished with Alencon
lace and seed pearls. She carried
a bouquet of cascading miniature
white orchids, stephanotis and
roses.
Miss Barbara Hinton was maid
of honor and the bridesmaids
were Miss Linda Persohn and
Mrs. Albert Ahlgren, cousins of
the bride, and Miss Beverly Em-
erson. They were gowned in gold
crepe with hoods and trimmed
with gold braid.
Richard Ellis served as best
man and the groomsmen were
Paul King, Glenn Rose, brother
of the groom, and Gerald Hodges.
Ushers were Reggie Majors and
Bill Persohn.
Following the reception the
couple left for a wedding trip to
Acapulco
The bride will return to Bay-
lor University where she is ma-
joring in biology. The groom, a
graduate of Texas A&M Univer-
sity, will enter the armed ser-
vices.
The Merry Weeders Garden
Club of Braeburn Valley will be
meeting at 10 a.m., on Jan. 27,
at the home of Mrs. A1 Kanusas,
8111 Braesdale. Mrs. Ray Car-
lisle will serve as co-hostess.
