ment and the Bellaire Cham-
ber of Commerce soon will
distribute "Tot Finder”
slickers to any one in
Bellaire who wants them.
The Chamber of Com-
merce purchased stickers
and is donating them to
the city.
The stickers will help the
fire department protect any
children who may be trap-
ped inside of burning homes.
Captain Walker of the
Fire Department said that
when the department is
called to a fire, the men will
look around the house for
any of the stickers, and
check those rooms with
slickers to be sure that
children are out of the
burning building.

cakes, cookies and jellies will
be available.
All proceeds from the
bazar will go to support the
activities of the Center for

Cyclethon Aids Heart Association
Several hundred bikers
are expected to participate
in the upcoming American
Heart Association Cycle-
thon.
“We hope to have many
volunteers riding in the
event. The bikers will ride a
three mile course (as many
times as they can) at Memor
ial Park,” said Artie Cling-
man, spokesperson for the
American Heart Associa-
tion.
the event, scheduled for
Saturday, April 29 from 8
a.m. to 5 p.m., is being
sponsored by the Houston
Chapter of the American
Heart Asscoiation in cooper-
ation iwth KMJQ-Majic 102
Radio.
“The American Heart
Association hopes to raise
over $15,000 in sponsor
pledges from the event,”
Clingman said.
“Last year, the cyclists
raised over $11,000 and
logged several thousand
miles of biking during the
eight hour period.”
“And, besides helping the
American Heart Associa-
tion, riders will also be
helping themselves,” said
Clingman.
Prizes will be awarded in
several categories, including
oldest and youngest riders,
most miles logged, most
money collected, etc.
