From freezing berries today to protecting the environment for tomorrow,
there is a program for you from our
Electricity is so involved in living today
that you seldom stop to think about it. It’s
just there.
Yet there’s a lot to know about elec-
tricity. Things that are exciting to learn
about and things that can save you
money.
Our people have put together a
number of informative programs to share
their special know ledge and experiences
with you. They’re yours for the asking.
How-to’s for homemakers
You're never too young to start. Light
Company Home Economists begin work-
ing with tomorrow’s homemakers in schools,
girls’ clubs, and other groups. Girl Scouts
and Campfire Girls can get their help in
meeting requirements for badge and bead
awards. For teens, summer workshops
feature cooking and ef ficient use of elec-
trical appliances.
And home service demonstrations for
adults cover points of interest all through
the house: Using the Electric Range. Home
Laundry Equipment. Food Preservation.
Portable Appliances. Light and Lighting
(interior and outdoor.) Electric
Heating and Cooling. Using Elec-
tric Appliances for All They’re
Worth.
You can see these demonstra-
tions in school home economics
facilities. Or in one of six Light
Company Home Service Auditoriums'
They’re located conveniently in the major
population centers of our service area.
Or, if you have individual questions
about appliance care or use, just call our
Home Service Department for guidance.
What any customer needs to know
Whether you use electricity at home or on
a giant scale in commerce or industry,
you’re welcome to the help of our
power consultants. They
can advise you on every
aspect of using electric
service efficiently. And
help you reach deci-
sions on heating, air
conditioning and
lighting.
Or if you’d
like the informa-
tion without
personal con-
sultation, you’ll find
suggestions to help you
save money and energy
in our booklets on wise
use of electricity.
