Bellaire residents

Funeral services were
held October 18 in the Holy
Ghost Catholic Church for
Minton Cullen (Mac) New-
ton, 48, of Bellaire. Mr.
Newton died October 15 at
11 p.m. as the result of a
heart attack. He had been ill
since July. Interment was
in the Forest Park West
Cemetery.
A Bellaire resident for
21 years, Mr. Newton was
owner of the Wholesale Auto
Distributors of Houston.
Mr. Newton is survived by
his former wife, Irene New-
ton and two daughters, Carol
Newton Burns of Colorado
Springs and Patti Newton of
7405 South Rice. Other sur-
vivors include two sisters,
Mrs. Lois Blankenship and
Mrs. Geneva Pully, both of
Boswell, Oklahoma; three
brothers, M. E. Newton of
Athens, Texas, Mr. R. New-
ton of Palestine Texas, and
J. C. Newton of Watsonville,
California; and one grand-
son, Ryan Burns.

After years of non-use a
new company has now op-
ened it’s facilities at the old
Sullivan's Drive-in loca-
tion. For all you newer Bel-
laire residents thats locat-
ed at 4510 Bissonnet at New
Castle. The new business
is Motor Home Rental Ser-
vice, owned and operated by
Mr. and Mrs. John McDan-
iel. McDaniel is a 25 year
Bellaire resident who now
resides at 7301 So. Rice
with wife Ronalyn, son John
Jr, daughters Lisa and Kelly.
McDaniel, for the past ye-
ars has been connected with
various Bellaire area civic
and business groups of these
being Bellaire Lions Club,
past member Bellaire Jay-
cees, Condit PTA member,
YMCA Indian guides and In-
dian Princesses, Bellaire
Chamber of Commerce me-
mber, and past director of
a volunteer Rescue Service.
Motor Home Rental Ser-
vice is in the business of
renting and leasing Motor
Homes and Recreational eq-
uipment such as campers,
trailers, and such. "Most of
Mrs. Fountain

Mrs. Michael S. Foun-
tain, the former Barbara
Ann Mott, has been appoint-
ed to the staff position of
Director of Institutional Re-
search for Stephen F. Aus-
tin University at Nacogdo-
ches. Mrs.Fountain, dau-
ghter of Mr. and Mrs. F. H.
Mott, 5403 Valerie, is a 1969
graduate of Bellaire High
School and will receive her
bachelor’s degree in Math
and Computer Sciences in
May, 1974.
