ol thir daughter, Adelle, to John-
nie Anders, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank J. Anders, Sr., of Schu-
lenburg. The wedding will take
place June 21 in St. Michael's
Church nt Weimar.

Mutual To Celebrate
60th Anniversary
On May 26th the Hocheim Pra-
irie Mutual Fire and Storm Insur-
ance Association will celebrate the
sixtieth anniversary of the found-
ing the organization. The celebra-
tion will be held at Yoakum in the
city park beginning at 2:00 p. m.
Following the program in the
Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Kalich, Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Ripper and
daughter, Madeline Ann were visi-
tors with their parents, Anton
Kalich of Engle and Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Hipper of Schulenburg on
Mothers' Day.
afternoon, a chicken barbecue will
be served those who attend and
have tickets. The day will end
with a dance at Turner Hall,
about six n^iles west of Yoakum.
Mr. and Mrs. Ewald P. Billimek
and family, San Antonio, and Mr.
and Mrs. M. B. Farris and family,
Houston spent Mother's Day
in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul
J. Billimek.

and Mrs. W. R. Keuper and Mr.

ed the State Banker's Convention'

HIGH HILL 4-H NEWS
At our meeting on May 5,
Mrs. Luckenbach, county home-
demonstration agent, gave the
girls a contest on tree and shrub
identification and examined the
herbariums which the girls had
made. Marcella Krischke won the
contest and received a prize, two
muffin pans. Barbara Severa re-
ceived a cake decorator for having
the best-worked-out herbarium.
Each girl received from Mrs.
Luckenbach a "Standard Report
Form for 4-H Club Members" and
■a "4-H Record for Food Work."
One of our club members, Mar-
cella Krischke, a winner at the
District "Shrub and Tree Identifi-
cation Contest," will take part in
the State Contest which will be
held at A. and M. College on June
9th. Reporter.
