SCUUT NEWS
At the regular meeting of the
Ifiwwme Scouts on Tuesday, a
Fir-Up ceremony was held for
brownie Scouts. They were
Mensik, Diane Steinmann,
Isjrjean Pinchin, Dinah Warnken,
S&irley Otten, Shirley Lemke,
Base Humplik, Susie Herzik, and
Karen Breymann.
The following Girl Scouts were
yresent to receive the Brownies in-
to Intermediate Troop 3: Mar-
jory Walla, Molly Kasper, Jean
Wells, Peggy flengst, Carol Baby-
lon, Betty Martin and Linda
HoeTine.
Girl Scout camp will start on
Monday afternoon, June 15, at
2:00 p. m. for all Senior and In-
termediate Girl Scouts. Camp will
fie held at the Kusey farm, the lo-
cal girl scout "Camp Whispering
Winds." The girls will spend five .

Little Miss Carolyn Genzer,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A1 Gen-
zer, appeared in a musical recital
in Columbus at the Reese Conser-
! vatory of Music Tuesday evening.
She gave two piano numbers, "The
Lightening Ranger," and the
"Streamline Express Train."
Kloesel are both employees of
the M G Plant here.
Leon Smith of BrownWood spent
several days here and at Engle
visiting with relatives and friends.
Leon looks well. He stated that
his mother was getting a bit fee-
ble, but still able to be up and
about, but rarely comes to town
any more.
