while returning from the water-
works dam in company with Com-
missioner Suggs and Civil En-
gineer Regan of Dallas, last Sat-
urday evening, became involved in
a runaway accident. The bolt
that held the surrey to the axle
came loose, causing the vehicle to
run down onto the flanks of the
team, and causing them to run-
away. The survey * was over-
turned. Messrs. Suggs and Re-
gan escaped with but slight injury
but Commissioner Tobin was
thrown to the ground, the wheels
passing over his stomach, inflict-
ing injuries^The team ran about
four miles, wrecking the buggy.
