the thousand and fifteen hundred foot

populace of Mexia which was several
times smaller than Denison, was urged
time and again to “kick" ln with
money to make another teat, and like
Denison again the folks had about
kicked In their last cent, not that they
did not want to but they did not have
any more loose change to put in teats
that were not deep enough.
Home Folks Helping
Home folks are new helping again
to develop the field along the Preston
anticline. Denison people have come
in time and again on several projects,
but the tests havs nevsr been deep
enough to prove real tests. Again the
home folks are coming In and coupled
with outside ftnanolal assistance are
watching several testa as the drills
pound into earth and finally mean
guaranteed deep teats.
Ths homefolks have gotten by the
stage of sitting back and letting
George do the developing. They have
also gotten by the smiling stage and
are now determined to see that there
are real'tests made in this district so
that west, north and east of Denison
there are deep teste going down, and
some day there are likely to be south
also.
Among the home folks who have had
years of unsmiling days when they
undertook to make tests, but failed to
go deep enough mainly because they
were not properly rigged or had in-
competent drillers is W. B. Munson,
who with associates has succeeded ln
securing enough Denlaen people to
hand themselves together to drill the
Preston Anticline No. t test to a dspth
where this structure will be fully de-
veloped. With Mr. Munson ars a hun-
dred or more Denison folks who have
bent their anergles of late to see that
there was a real test made of the Pres-
ton anticline well.

sands usually cause delays in drilling

been occasioned in this test and drill-

With the present rate of drilling this
