Dear Editar:
Every once in a while somebody i
refers to me as non-progressive, i
j and I guess if you want to judge,
a man's thinkin ability by how
clean his fields are there might be
something to it, but that's what j
comes of taking a superficial view I
I would like to report that for I
the past few years I have been j
neck and neck with no less an en-!
lerprise than tile aviation Industry.!
which everybody knows is progres- j
sivc.
While the aviation industry has
been hard at'

sound limit, I
have not been
asleep figu-
ratively speak-

My experiment, which probably
has more relation to the individual
than aviation’s, has consisted
attempts to break the debt limit.
I have read of pilots' reports on
their wrought-up feelings as they
heard the sound limit and then
crashed through, and I can report
that edginig toward the debt limit
and then crashing through is just
as nerve-wracking and perilous.
Furthermore, my experiments
have been more independent, I
didn't have a government appro-
priation or inexhaustible funds
from a foundation behind me, I’ve
had to do mine on my own, almost
on a shoestring, with considerable
