Winnipeg, Man.. Jan. 31.—Accord-
ing to official estimates made here
slxty-one million bushels of wheat
still remain In the western part of
Canada ready for shipment. In addi-
tion there are said to be nine mil-
lion bushels yet to be threshed. Anx-
iety is expressed^ lest thousands of
bushels of grain be a total loss.

Honolulu. Jan 31.—Tommy Bums,
who arrived today from_Au*tra!ia_ rn
route to San Francisco, announced
that he is ready to meet Jack John-
son, on his own terms, having recov-
ered from an Injury to his knee, sus-
tained in a La Crosse game about IS
months ago. Burns went to Australia
several months ago with Jack Lester
and has been training carefully pend-
ing full recovery ol the wrenched
knee.
