at a meeting of the Mawwiic Hall
Monday night. Sears succeeds Syl-

day for Kermit for a few days visit

Wadding Held
In the Little Chapel of the Chimes
In Portland, Oregon. Miss Helen
Louise Bane, daughter of Dr. and
Mrs. C. Laverne Bane of Salt Lake
City, Utah, became the bride of
Robert Eugene Larson, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Oscar A. Larson of Van-
couver. Washington on November 14.
Rev. Frances J. Winder officiated.
The bride, given In marriage by
her father, wore an Emma Dome
model gown of white taffeta and
marquisette with lace edged veU
held In place by sweetheart halo of
pearls. She wore a pearl pendant,
the gift of the bridegroom, and
carried a bouquet of white chrysan-
themums and sweetheart rosebuds.
Miss Margaret Marie Bane wu her
sister’s only attendant. She wore
French blue taffeta with Juliette
cap and carried yellow rosea. Qeo.
D. Hyatt was best man and Don
Rider and Donald Generaux were
ushers. Wedding music wu furn-
ished by Miss Mildred Cooley.
After a reception held at Coving-
ton House, Washington, the couple
departed on a wedding trip to Van-
couver, B. C. with the bride wearing
a pearl gray suit with Kelly green
accessories and the rose corsage
from the bridal bouquet. They will
make their home In Vancouver,
Washington.
Mrs. Larson attended public
schools in Salt Lake City, Branch
Agricultural College, Cedar City.
Utah and graduated from Musko-
gee Junior College, Muskogee, Okla.
She Is employed by the Northern
Permanente Foundation In Van-
couver, Washington.
Mr. Larson graduated from the
Baldwin, Wisconsin High School and
served 3 years In the Marine Corps.
He Is now attending Clark College,
Vancouver, Washington.
Mrs. Larson hu visited often In
Hereford. She Is the granddaughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Klbbe,
pioneers of Deaf Smith County. Her
mother will be remembered u Miss
:Lora Klbbe.

Medicine at Randolph Field. She
also told of Teddy Kenyon, a test,-
pllot for the Navy’s Hell-Cats dur-
ing the war. Mrs. Womble brought
out the fact that after her husband
Invented new parts for the planes,
Mrs. Kenyon wu the first to try
them out.
Mrs. John Jacobsen Jr. talked of
Ellen H. Richards who wu a chem-
ist and a pioneer in the sanitation
movement. She was the first to in-
troduce chemistry In the home
through the medium of home ec-
onomics.

Insurance School
Herman Ford, local insurance
agent, hu Just returned from an
Institute of Insurance Marketing
School at Southern Methodist Uni-
versity.
Courses studied consisted of busi-
ness insurance, taxes, and estate
planning. At the end of school term,
graduation exercises were held Nov-
ember 19 and were followed by a
banquet at Lakewood Country Club.
Mrs. Ford attended the exercises
and banquet and returned home
with her husband.
Mr. Ford, who wu president of
his class, reported a worth while
school and many new acquaintances
and contacts In his business, while
in Dallas.
